During my Christmas stay, I had a fantastic time at this backpackers! The staff were super friendly and accommodating, always making sure I had everything I needed. The common areas and garden were really cozy and had a great positive vibe. Plus, I loved the fact that they had a pool available - it looked amazing, even though I didn't get a chance to swim in it.
While my overall experience was great, there were a couple of minor downsides. the internet connection was a bit wonky and didn't work properly.

The staff were absolutely amazing - so friendly and helpful! The location was perfect - close to the city center but still quiet. The facilities were spotless, especially the pool and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and had fans. It was great to meet locals and other travelers, giving us a true Aussie experience. We also got to do some fantastic trips and even got a haircut from their own hairdresser. There were always a couple of cute dogs around which added to the friendly vibe. I will definitely be returning to this backpackers and staying for a few more days next time.

We had an amazing stay at this backpackers hostel. the staff and owner were super friendly and made us feel like part of a big family. the rooms were excellent and immaculate, giving us a cozy and comfortable stay. the communal areas, such as the spacious kitchen and living areas, were well, equipped and had a home, like feel. We loved the community vibe, especially during meals where we could enjoy delicious and affordable meals together. the hostel also had great facilities like a wonderful pool, laundry, and bikes to borrow.
Some non, paying guests were allowed to have a party, causing a disturbance for paying guests.

The decoration at the hostel was absolutely charming, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The common areas were beautifully decorated with warm colors, comfortable furniture, and lovely artwork. It felt like stepping into a home away from home. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The corridors were spacious, well-lit, and easy to navigate with no stairs to worry about. It was so convenient for me to move around freely and comfortably.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation better for senior people, it would be for the children working there to provide more assistance to senior guests. Sometimes, it would have been helpful to have a bit more help with carrying luggage or finding our way around the area.

Party noise ruined second night.
